Cure

Moonlight streaming
a shiny razor blade
blood-stained

My experiments with haiku

Silken tress of a maiden
flaming flowers infusing their fragrance ...
an autumn breeze

Eyes

Why do you look into my eyes?
And when you do, what do you find?

Am I just another face
To be forgotten, without a trace?

Or do I home, something you care
Tell me now, if you dare.

Sunny days

I opened my eyes, and look out yonder
And what I see, fills me with wonder

Sunlight streams, through my window
Filtering through, warming my soul oh.

Sunny days, sunny days
Makes me wanna, laugh away

Though sooner or later, night will befall
Till then let me warm up, soak it up all.

Kya karoon haule haule jo mera dil gaa raha hai

Babumoshai, phd aur degree to guide ke haath me hai
Kab kis kambakt ko kaha chor de
Koi bharosa nahi, mu hu ha ha ha hah

(boo hoo hoo)

Par, hum kisi se kum nahi
ye sab ko  hai dikhana
lekin kar de muskil jeena
negative result kamina

isliye to gata rahe mera dil
kaha hai meri manzil (waaaaaaaah)

ajeeb dastaan hai
kaha shuru kaha khatam
hai objectives kaun se
na wo samajh sake na hum!

Research scholar hu yaaro
na ghar hai na thikana
mujhe chalte jana hai
bas chalte jaana

aur waise bhi
jeena yaha marna yaha
phd bina jana kaha

to chupke se sun,
is pal ki dhun
is pal me jivan saara

Jo aaj na hua
wo hoga kal, ya fir parso
itna marta kyu hai be
jab rehna hai yaha barso?

Experiments in theoretical modeling

Um ah, so I have a theory
I believe I have a hypothesis
And I need to create a model
As a filler in my thesis

But in the quest of this filling
All my stuffing is out
I am seeing stars at day time
And count them out loud

....to be continued (as soon as I proceed further
                             instead of wandering
                             hither and tither!)

Once upon a time (not again....)

Once upon a time
There was a pretty fly
It had a dream
It had a song

Flitting from petal to petal
As if it would never die
Kept on humming softly
Its very own song

When the hail came
the flowers died
No food, no shelter
No one to listen to its song

The cold crushed the fly
Its wings maimed
Voice broken
Forgot its own song

Hovering over the barren land
It met a black cat
Mewing a tune
Akin to its own song

What is it that you sing?
How is it that you do?
How come you can sing
My very own song?

Naive fly, said the cat
You do not know
I used to sit beneath the tree
Where you sang your song

I fell in love with your innocence
I loved your bright wings
But above all in the world
I loved your song

So accompanied
The fly moved on
A flicker of hope
To find its song

Hovering over the barren land
It met a black snake
Hissing a tune
Akin to its own song

What is it that you sing?
How is it that you do?
How come you can sing
My very own song?

Silly fly, said the snake
You do not know
I used to crawl beneath the tree
Where you sang your song

The melody kept me live
The memory kept me wake
And I was able to brave the cold
Because of your song

Do not weep silly fly
Do not feel alone
You will have us with you
And we'll listen to your song

The fly still wanders with them
The black snake and the cat
In the search for what it lost
Its own song

Reason for living

I live and yet I do not,
I wait as my life turns to rot
I watch as the time passes by...
I live because I do not die.

By the moonlight

By the light of the moon,
In the blue blue sky
I m captured by sweet, faint and heavy things
It happens often, not just tonight

Underneath the moonlight, without anyone knowing
I was humming a tune to myself;
I searched for a life forever
Within this light.

Always, always by my side
I feel a power
That I believe
Moves the distant and fragile things

Underneath the moonlight, without anyone knowing
I hummed softly to myself,
I have faith in the silent night,
Within this light.

On nights when I feel I cant grasp anything,
The silence roars in my ears
But without a singe flicker
The moon continues to gaze at me, quietly.

Underneath the moonlight, without anyone knowing
I was humming softly to myself
My lost heart will find a home
Within this light.

Courage

Courage is doing what is right
Without having to be told
Courage is leaving everything behind
To defend what you believe in, being bold
Courage is manning up
When you know you've done something wrong
Courage is having fear
But still fighting and staying strong
Courage is facing adversity
But being able to hold on
Courage is looking the enemy in the eye
And telling them to just bring it on...

Waiting for a miracle

When you've fallen on life’s highway
and you're lying in the rain,
and they come and ask you how you're doing
of course you'll say I can't complain
You might be falling apart
but that's when you've got to play it dumb;
You just say you're out there waiting,
waiting for the miracle to come.

Leonard Cohen

Grasshopper

This little green guy,
I found him on the sheet;
Looking as he didnt care
That he was on my turf.

With eyes as such
He could as well be a Martian
But the air of innocence that he wore
said "I'm in my own home!"

Then just as sudden
He jumped up high
And disappeared in thin air
In quest for a new room.

Such a sweet life
Has this green vagabond
Wherever he goes,
He makes it his own.
